On the internet it looks like a good spot but in person it’s not. There’s no parking the location is bad. We got to our room and there was hair on our bed sheets and the room was not swept or mobbed. The bathroom smelled like piss.when we turned the AC on the smell of cig and piss came out we turned it off it was stinking up the room. At 3am police coming knocking at our door asking if we heard a shoot out on our floor?? Please stay away from this hotel.

This hotel is in a convenient location and looks very nice. You have an escort to view your room before payment. Now, after you really get to look at the room, it's not completely clean. 2 very flat pillows that look like the pillow cases were not clean. No wash cloths. 2 towels and 1 hand towel. No washcloths available at the front desk. No refrigerator. One microwave is available on the first floor. I'm sure we saw one roach. There is only 1 half roll of toilet paper. We had to clean the bathroom sink. Kind of reminds me of a bourgeois 490 motel type room. The person at the check-in desk named Sandy was very nice. Good shower. That is all.

Do not waste your money here! This place is gross! Service is terrible, room stunk terrible, sheets and towels were dirty! Roaches! Bathroom had hella roach eggs in the outlets and in the molding around the sink! I only gave 1 star because I had to. You have to pay a $60 cash deposit. No one was at the desk when we got there to check in. We waited at least 25 mins for someone to come. We were not shown our room like others have said, we definitely wouldn't have paid to stay, had we seen the room before hand. Go somewhere else!

I also filed a complaint through Expedia, but even they couldn’t reach the hotel because no one ever responds to calls or messages.

I checked into this place, on 8/22/25. When I got there, I was a turned off, as the attendant was kind of curt, but I didn't worry about that too much. I went up to my room, 503, and wondered, what the hell did I get myself into. The room stunk, with dingy sheets, pillow cases and well used towels. I had my own, thank God!!!. The mattress was totally old and worn out, so it was very uncomfortable. I was supposed to be there until the 26th, but, this morning, on 8/24, I woke up to reddness, burning and swelling to my left upper arm. Swollen, red and burning in three different areas. I went downstairs to complain and showed the attendant my arm. He stated, that I'm the first person to complain about this. He offered to change my room, but ofcourse I declined. However, he said that I should call Priceline and have them call him. I did call Priceline and they said they sent an Email to the motel, which he claimed to had not received. I had to check in another hotel, out of pocket, again. I have been calling this rude guy, who proceeded to tell me that the room is nonrefundable. Ok, sir, I paid for a service that should not have included bed bugs!!!! Now multiple areas of my body, are, red, swollen itching and burning. This is technically, robbery. You did not provide the service paid for. All I ask for it the refund for the two nights that I didn't stay there. This will be escalated. (I was trying to upload the pictures of skin, but this doesn't accommodate uploads)

DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A COCKROACH. Garbage hotel with even worse staf. Service is dog water, and you can't request room service bc they just tell you to do it yourself. Toilet handle was broken and barely worked, roaches coming out of the drain in the shower and just a weirds smell everywhere. Please save your money and time. Honestly sleeping in a dumpster would be more beneficial, because at least those get serviced.

The hotel is fine if you just need a place to stay while in the area. There is nothing fancy about it and the property is worn down. From the moment you walk in the smell of smoke hits you in the face. A lot of noise at night. We were barely there so not a huge issue but don’t expect much.

I booked a 2 bedroom because we are a family of four. However, it was unnoticed that the system glitched happened and it was booked for just 1 bed. When I arrived at the reception, I told them that we were four and needed two beds. They said it wasn’t possible because the hotel was fully booked. My reservation was for two nights (Thursday and Friday).

My boyfriend and I give the Royal Bronx Hotel an overall 4 stars. We stayed on the 7th floor, and the location was perfect — just a 14-minute walk to the subway station. The immediate area was full of energy and city life, which is one of the reasons we love visiting New York.
